On March 14, 2024, twelve renowned scholars from both domestic and international backgrounds engaged in professional academic exchanges and discussions at the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. This symposium aims to showcase the phenomenon of visual imagery resulting from the integration of Eastern and Western art in the 19th century from multiple perspectives, presenting the latest developments and trends in art historical research. This endeavor not only contributes to promoting and strengthening academic and cultural exchanges between Macau and mainland China, but also offers significant and profound insights into the impact of cultural and artistic exchanges on visual imagery in the context of contemporary globalization. This aligns with the international development concepts of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the "Community with a Shared Future for Mankind."
